Turkish Cement manufacturing, one of the largest cement producers in the world, represents 11% of the National GHG emissions in 2016. This document demonstrates that by reducing clinker factor and using alternative fuels, the total CO2 emissions from the Turkish cement industry could be cut by 14.7 Mt out of 55.2 Mt, a reduction of 26%. This would represent a 3% decrease of the national GHG emissions.
